I am here in the Medical City with my wife to have her periodic check up. Hospitals have always confounded me. It is like throwing a coin up in the air. People either go there to get well or to discover that you are NOT going to get well at all. Doctors are forbearers of good news as well as bad news. I have met a lot of doctors and all I can say is they are always straight to the point and very blunt. They have made it into an art form, I should say. I got really bad news today about my cousin who passed away because of kidney problems. She is younger than I and death really has its way of making you think about your own mortality. Papa was the one who called me up to tell me about the bad news and even though I was not close to my cousin, it sill stings big time. She was only 34 and she left four young kids. I pray for her soul and for the family she left behind. Death is not easy to accept but we are left with no choice but to do so. Like they say, that is where we all... (more)
